The purpose of the Why Teach Contest is to create a motivational book that serves as a powerful daily spark for educators — a reminder of purpose, resilience, and impact. Your words could be the encouragement someone needs before the first bell rings.

Participants are invited to submit a 100-word essay on ONE of the following topics:
1) An Inspiring Teaching Experience – Share a meaningful classroom moment that reminded you why teaching matters.
2) Words of Wisdom for Educators – Offer encouragement, perspective, or timeless advice for fellow teachers.
3) Reflective Questions & Points to Ponder – Provide thoughtful questions or insights that help educators prepare mentally and emotionally for the day ahead.
Submissions should be motivating, inspiring, thought-provoking, and encouraging for both new and experienced teachers.
Selected submissions will be included in a motivational book for teachers published by the CSCA.
